Dr. Elaine Klesius
Dr. Elaine Klesius

Dr. Klesius, the owner of Fairview Animal Hospital, grew up on a farm in Kentucky where she discovered her love for animals when she was very young. After graduating magna cum laude from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, she practiced in Atlanta, Georgia and Maryville, Tennessee before coming to Asheville in 2014. Dr. Klesius is passionate about building relationships with clients and her interests include internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, and surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, gardening, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Klesius and her husband, Stephen, have two sons, four cats, and a feisty terrier, Miley.

Dr. Charles H. Lloyd

Dr. Charles Lloyd, DVM is a 1982 graduate The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and one of the founders of Fairview Animal Hospital. Serving the community since 1984, Dr. Lloyd is proud of the lasting relationships he has maintained with his clients and their families over many years. When not caring for patients, Dr. Lloyd enjoys working outdoors, visiting family, and travel photography. He and his wife, Becky, have two children, two grandchildren, and two dogs.

Dr. Dean Hutsell

Dr. Hutsell is a 1982 graduate of The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and one of the founders of Fairview Animal Hospital. Growing up on a farm in Tennessee inspired him to become a veterinarian, and when Fairview Animal Hospital opened in 1984, he and his partner, Dr. Lloyd, cared for all animals, including farm animals and wildlife. Dr. Hutsell is passionate about his life’s work and inspired by the trust his clients have placed in him over many years. Now retired, Dr. Hutsell is looking forward to traveling, hiking, and spending time at his lake house with his family and their pets. Dr. Hutsell and his wife, Linda, have six children and six dogs.

Angie raised her family in the local community before obtaining her Veterinary Technician degree from AB Technical Community College in 2019. She is passionate about using her knowledge to create a positive experience for our clients and their pets. Outside of work, Angie enjoys hiking with her dog, Bernard, and her husband, Bill, reading, sewing and spending time with her two daughters and five grandchildren.
Dannielle Payne
Dannielle Payne
Dannielle is a student at Buncombe County’s Virtual Academy. A junior in high school, Dannielle often goes out on pet-sitting jobs with her mother, Melanie Payne, so working as an assistant alongside her mom was a natural transition. Dannielle is passionate about her role as an assistant and enjoys learning something new every day. Outside of work, Dannielle enjoys reading and spending time with her family and their pets.
Elizabeth Foster
Debbie Piercy

With a degree in business administration from AB Technical College and years of experience in management, Debbie’s passion is providing top of the line care to all our clients and their pets. A long-time resident of Fairview, Debbie enjoys staying active in her church, crafting, thrifting, and baking. Debbie and her husband, Royce, have three grand-children, three great-grandchildren, three cats, and Dixie, a sixteen-year-old Cockatiel.

Seana Jones
Through her years of experience in hotel management, Seana obtained a deep appreciation for hospitality. She enjoys greeting every client with a warm smile and is passionate about caring for the well-being of all our clients and patients. Outside work, Seana enjoys playing golf, cooking and entertaining friends. Seana and her husband, Patrick, have two cats and a black Labrador retriever, Winston.
Melanie Payne
Melanie Payne
Melanie obtained her BA in Economics and Business Administration from Warren Wilson College and then went on to earn her Veterinary Technology degree from AB Technical Community College in 2017. Melanie loves using her skills to assist in treating patients and is passionate about preventative medicine and client education. Outside of work, Melanie enjoys reading, pet-sitting, and spending time with her husband, Dean, and their two daughters, four dogs, and two cats.

Elizabeth began working as a veterinary assistant soon after graduating from high school, continuing to work part-time as she pursued her pharmacy technician degree from AB Technical Community College. Though she now holds a position in her field, Elizabeth still enjoys working one day a week as a veterinary assistant. Elizabeth is passionate about building relationships with our clients and their pets. Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her cats, Pita and Penny, painting, cooking, and listening to music, audiobooks and podcasts.
